The 食物 Studies + 工商管理硕士 dual degree 程序 is not accepting applications for the 24-25 academic year. We encourage students to explore Chatham's Master of Arts in 食物 Studies 程序, which offers courses and opportunities to explore the many business aspects of food and agricultural systems.

Chatham’s dual-degree MAFS+工商管理硕士程序 leverages the strengths of our Master of Arts in 食物 Studies (加), Master of Business Administration (工商管理硕士) 程序s to create a curriculum that develops business acumen in aspects of food systems. 研究生s gain knowledge in key areas, such as product development, 供应链, agricultural practices, 劳动, 和可持续性, while engaging in hands-on project management and experiential learning.

Explore the MAFS+工商管理硕士 Degree:

An in-depth knowledge of food production, 文化, and history combined with impeccable mastery of business concepts and strategy prepares students to move into positions as leaders and entrepreneurs in these increasingly popular—and important—areas.

入学 to the MAFS+工商管理硕士程序 will be based on:

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
Overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0或更好的4分.0规模. Applicants with less than a 3.0 who show extreme promise through other achievements may be granted conditional admission.
Pre-requisite courses in Financial Accounting and Business Statistics (completed prior to enrollment)
Completed Application Form (found 在这里), including submission of the following documents:

- 2 letters of recommendation, from an academic source and/or direct work supervisor
- Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts, sent directly by the institutions
- Additional writing sample (optional, but encouraged)

BUS577: Information Systems and Analytics

This course explores the strategic management of 技术, 信息, and people from a Chief Information Officer’s (CIO) perspective. The business value and organizational challenges of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, 数据仓库, 分析, and Big Data are critically examined through cases and hands-on projects.

FST614: New Product Development

This course explores the new product development process from ideation to market. Students will study the methodologies and practices of product development working in the 食物 and Agri文化 Innovation Lab at 工艺. 每一项, student teams will work with clients on key components including taste testing, 消费者的反馈, 市场营销, and recipe development.

FST508: 食物 Systems

This course examines philosophical, 社会学, 经济, and cultural issues related to the production and consumption of food. From Agrarianism to the Green Revolution, the course explores the transformations of industrialization, 技术, 和迁移. It provides foundation in food systems and commodity chains as concepts and methodological tools for uncovering the relationships between communities, 农业, 市场, 和消费者.
